QSI Bratislava - the American International School -is a private, non-profit day school offering an American international program from Early Childhood (age 2) through grade 12 for students of all nationalities. The school was founded in 1994, and is governed by Quality Schools International (see www.qsi.org ). A local Advisory Board, in cooperation with the Director, plan and lead the school community. QSIB is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Slovak Ministry of Education. The school is located in IUVENTA, pleasantly situated on a hill with expansive natural green spaces with an indoor pool, soccer pitch, gymnasium (bubble) and large theater along with support facilities including playgrounds. Our school year begins in late August and extends through mid-June, allowing for three one-week breaks throughout the year plus a holiday in December. QSIB is the first school to offer the IB Diploma Program and the onlyschool to offer AP (Advanced Placement) courses in Bratislava. Students represent over 30 nations and faculty are primarily from the United States. QSIB offers a rigorous academic program in a warm, nurturing environment with significant commitment to families as well as community.
